James Madison 4th President of the USA

“I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.” Virginia Convention on the ratification of the Constitution—June 6, 1788 (Elliot’s Debates, volume 3, p. 87)

Who does gay marriage hurt? All of us.

"The Worst Thing About Gay Marriage" from the Weekly Standard puts into words the things we all know about marriage, but because it is so ingrained we don't know how to put it into words. This is the BEST article I've ever seen about the issue. It will arm us will common sense to speak to others about what the harm will be. It's well done without any "homophobia" or "hate speech". It lays out the obligations that marriage entails and how gay marriage will not carry any of them, and will therefore destroy them in all marriages, endangering women and children whose protection marriage is all about.
